Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the bushfires that have and are devastating so much of Australia. The destructive impact on so many families, communities, wildlife and ecosystems is tragic. We have asked and discussed the question how do we help right now and what is the most effective way that we can make a difference?
– The most effective way that SSWM can make a difference we believe is with our ‘BUSHFIRE MESH- Ember Stop’ https://www.sswm.com.au/product/stainless-steel-bushfire-mesh/.
We will therefore be donating a selection of our ‘BUSHFIRE MESH Ember Stop’- product to research and those in need. To protect homes and buildings in bushfire prone areas against ember attack. We have reached out to associations, communities & foundations and are currently working through the process of how we will do this.
– We will continue to raise awareness in regard to ember attack and how bushfire mesh can protect against it. Please refer to the following documents for further information:
Country Fire Authority ‘Your Guide to Property Preparation’ https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/…/bushfire_home_retrofit.pdf from page 10 describes retrofit provisions relating to ember attack.
