SSWM has continued to supply the Australian market with our extensive stock holding and same day despatch, we are proud that we have delivered products that has kept the Australian economy going. We are continuing to support local manufacturing & meet the demand of infrastructure projects while balancing the significant external global factors of supply.
We are experiencing demand for an even greater range of products and we know firsthand that stainless steel plays a major role in modern day society, with its endless applications. Price update:
As you may be aware, the stainless steel industry has had some significant challenges in the last 12 months as a result of supply issues including:

- Record iron ore prices
- Extremely high nickel prices
- International freight price increases
Due to extreme and continuing economic and market forces on the stainless steel industry, SSWM have reluctantly increased our prices on all our products effective from 15 July. We have also increased our product range so that when you order from SSWM you are ordering the best product available for the price.
As we value your business and understand the global market, we would like to work with you on your demand forecasting for our products so you don’t experience unnecessary delays. We encourage you to talk with our sales team to see what arrangements can be made for your future requirements.
Supply chain update:
Our global suppliers are also balancing significant global factors and we have worked with our suppliers to strengthen our supply chain. We have increased our stock holding in response to significant shipping delays to protect you against global shortages. In summary for our customers:

In response to COVID to be contactless we have adapted to support our customers:
- Samples of our products can be mailed in replacement of show room visits
- Bushfire Mesh can now be purchased online
- Our website user experience has been improved with product images now included in tables
- Data sheets & stock guides show to scale photos and are printable PDFs
- Although you cannot visit us in person to experience our showroom and warehouse, we would still love to take you on a tour we have made this possible with our Company Profile video. Please watch and enjoy
