2022 is SSWM’s 20th year in business- and we look forward to continuing to innovate the use of stainless steel as part of our solution for a sustainable future for Australia.
2022 without doubt has also started off as another interesting year! Australia has opened up and SSWM has started to get back on the road to visit our valued customers once again. 2022 has also presented us with uncertainty and challenging global market conditions including:
- Supply chain issues due to covid
- Global political tensions due to war
- Nickel price volatility due to a trade embargos
- Freight & raw material price increases
Closer to home in Australia it has also been a big year already with NSW & QLD experiencing devastating floods, the federal election now behind us and a change of government, higher fuel prices, labour shortages continue and the influenza season has started early (especially for our children).

2022 is our 20th year in business and to ensure SSWM continues to thrive and innovate the use of stainless steel, we have been incredibly proactive with succession planning and transitioning to the next generation from founders Andrew & Lea Greer. We are delighted that Tory and myself, Amanda, are now the Co General Managers of SSWM.
We are a family business and think in generations and stainless steel is part of our solution for a sustainable future. We therefore look forward to attending the ASSDA conference, “PacRim Stainless 2022” in Brisbane, 20-21 July and re-connecting with the stainless steel industry and look very forward to catching up with those attending.
