Stainless Steel annealed wire is the softest temper of all stainless steel wires. Simply put the stainless steel wire is heat treated (annealed) to soften it making it more malleable.
The processes of annealing is carried out by heating drawn stainless steel wire in a furnace to temperatures greater than 1040 degrees Celsius for a period of time while it softens and it is then allowed to cool. The ductility is then very high, with a lower tensile strength. It can be manufactured in a bright or matt finish.
SSWM Stainless Steel annealed wire can be supplied in large mill coils of up to 150 kilograms, convenient smaller coils and on spools:
- Bulk Coil Wire (up to 150 kilograms)
- 5Kg Tie Wire (convenient smaller coils)
- Guard Wire (500m spool)
- Tracer Wire (750m spool)
- Dropper Wire (50m coil)
Annealed stainless steel is used in many varied applications where there following are required:
- High resistance to corrosion
- High ductility (flexible without being brittle or breaking)
Applications where the properties of Annealed Stainless wire are
– Tie wire, for tying stainless steel “reo” together
– Stainless steel wall ties
– Stainless steel woven wire
– Stainless steel welded rolls
– Stainless steel coastal rural fencing
– Jewelry & hand crafts
– Art & sculptures
